Fekkai has relaunched a classic line from the 90s—its Shea Butter Collection.

The newly expanded product range is reformulated with clean ingredients—and is designed for a wider range of hair types. It’s available on Fekkai’s website and at Ulta.

Legendary hairstylist Frédéric Fekkai, who spoke to us last year, said in a statement:

“We worked tirelessly to find the perfect blend of shea butter and monoi oil to deeply hydrate and nourish the hair, all while keeping in line with our brand’s ethos to deliver clean formulas with salon-level results.”

Fekkai adds, “We have seen many different hair types in our salon over the past few years, so expanding the collection to include more hair types was very important to me. I’m excited to reach new customers and am looking forward to their feedback.”

The line includes Shea Butter Intense Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner—and: 

• Shea Butter Intense Mask: a vegan, silicone-free mask to moisturize and soften curly and textured hair


• Shea Butter Intense Oil: for both hair and body, with shea oil to hydrate, nourish, and smooth


• Shea Butter Defining Gel: defines and controls curls while leaving hair bouncy and hydrated


• Shea Butter Curl Refresh: hydrates, refreshes, and adds shine to second- and third-day curls without weighing them down

The Packaging, Products, & Campaign 

Every bottle in the Shea Butter Collection is made with 95% high-grade repurposed plastic and is 100% recyclable.

All products are free of silicones, sulfates, phthalates, parabens, and are gluten free, vegan, cruelty-free, and safe for color and chemically treated hair.

Hairstylist Jawara Wauchope is a Stylist Partner, and will help promote the line. He will add valuable input to the brand’s current knowledge with education and training, while also sharing engaging content.
